WELCOME

I’m excited that you stopped by my website. Somehow you heard about me, hopefully through a friend, and you asked if I had a website where you could see my work and learn more about the possibility of us working together.  Thanks for doing that and checking me out, because that’s the first step in working together.

Meet Julia

Moments in people’s lives are what capture me for the subject of my paintings. A favorite resource for my inspiration are those candid shots posted on FB that most of us snap while we’re with our family and friends… Read More

Joy

Getting lost in painting the likeness of a moment, listening to my favorite music, knowing all is right with my family and friends, Laney sleeping here in the studio, and a cup of coffee. Living a life that stretches me and knowing that I have been created to be myself and to bless others with my talents.

Artist
Julia Hayashi

I am who I am, and doing what I do in part because I am part of an amazing disconnected group of people who have encouraged me and believed in me when I started talking about this.  I am certain that this is what I am supposed to being doing with this stage of my life. I am grateful to my creator, who I believe is is an artist himself and delights in helping us with our own creative pursuits. It’s so scary to put myself out into the world, but also fun and exciting to just see that I can and that I am not alone in any of this. Thanks to all you out there who have supported me to step out in faith and who believe in me when I don’t. And Thanks to my husband Bart, and my boys Dustin, Tory and Josh for their love and support. I’m better because of them.

Inspiration
Laney

The Studio pet aka biggest distraction.
This little Yorkie poo knows when its time to take a break way before I do. I’m so thankful for her company and even her distractions as I hang out in my studio and paint or work on the daily business of  this journey into art.

Welcome to my blog! This is where I will be sharing your stories and the pictures you snapped to go with them. Only I will be taking those snapshots and turning them into watercolor art.
